ABANDONMENT, AND AN ASSAULT ON ANIMAL SOCIETY

Several situations may lead a person to take this attitude as reprehensible. In many cases, is directly linked to impulsivity. The person is enchanted with the puppy and forget it, until it becomes an adult animal, it needs a lot of care. When faced with the tasks of everyday life, they give up the animal. There are also cases of people who acquire the animal seeking status through it, and then get tired of the animal and dismiss them as an object that has no more utilidade.Outras people end up adopting the animal and for financial reasons, end up not having to keep them and end up giving him the chance to pursue another owner, ie the handing fate. Another factor favoring the abandonment is moving house or the aging of the animal.

Unfortunately abandonment is increasing in Brazil, including purebred and pedigree, already guarantee comfort and good treatment for dogs and cats, are now no more. Currently, 30% of stray animals have nothing mutts. Are Poodles, Rottweilers, Siberian Huskies, Cocker Spaniels and others.

A reprehensible attitude is practiced by people who deliver the animal in a shelter or Centers for Zoonosis Control - CCZs in search of an easy and immediate solution, and some even just throw puppies in the door. Shelter is no solution, problem is generated by social neglect. Opposite dequem dream ride one, there is the belief of the people in general that just pick an animal in the street and put it in a shelter to solve the problem. If they visited the shelter, they would change their minds, because they would know the sad reality: hundreds of animals fighting over food, many patients, and even cases of cannibalism generated by hunger.

It is necessary we implement an educational campaign, through which will stress the importance of responsible ownership and birth control, making "EVERY CITIZEN RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR PET", which requires identity, not just a roof, but affection and respect, and especially the freedom to run, play and feel important in the lives of those who created it. Nature makes the puppy, but the way the dog man. The animal does not need DONATIONS to ensure your legal rights, but SHARES aimed value it in the society.

One of the countries with experiences considered model for WHO is Costa Rica, where dog owners could face up to three years in jail if they do not comply with the determination to take care of their animals.
