·      Algumas protegem também contra carrapatos, mosquitos e vermes intestinais.

·      Filhotes com menos de 60 dias ou menos que 1 kg de peso não devem receber este tipo de medicamento com risco de intoxicação!

·  Após a aplicação do produto, alguns fabricantes indicam não dar banho no animal nos 2 próximos dias.

Observação: Deve-se respeitar o tipo de pipeta para cada peso do cachorro. Por exemplo: tem pipetas para animais de até 10kg, de 11 a 20kg, de 21 a 40kg e outras variações.

Comprimidos: Há poucas opções de comprimidos contra pulgas no mercado, mas uma delas acaba com as pulgas apenas durante 24 - 48 horas, já os outros dois têm ação mais eficaz e duradoura e aqui eu vou me referir a eles.

·      Por serem comprimidos, os animais que já estejam com a pele bastante ferida e que poderia ter alguma irritação no local de aplicação, ficam livres dessa possibilidade.

·      Têm ação rápida, podendo ver pulgas mortas a partir de 30 min, mas os fabricantes dizem que em até 4 horas todas as pulgas no cachorro já morreram.

·  Por matar a pulga logo após a primeira picada, estas não têm tempo de colocar ovos e com o uso mensal contínuo, ajudam a combater a infestação no ambiente. São seguros para animais a partir de 1 kg.

·      Alguns donos podem ter dificuldade para dar o comprimido, pois alguns cachorros não aceitam comer espontaneamente ou junto com outros alimentos.

· Além do mais, o comprimido pode se despedaçar neste momento e o proprietário fica sem saber se a dose foi ingerida corretamente.

Observação: Deve-se respeitar o peso do cachorro de acordo com a dose indicada para ele. Procure orientação veterinária para o uso correto do medicamento.
